Beyond Recruiter Excellence – Part 1: Professional Add-ons – The definition of good recruiting is to be able to successfully fill requisitions or job orders in a cost effective and timely manner. This measure of excellence is really not based on the years of experience of the recruiter, although that sometimes helps, but rather some intelligence-based gene that makes it effortless. Beyond Recruiter Excellence – Part 2: Business Add-onsCorporate recruiters participate as a member of a team moving their organization toward mutual goals and objectives. The company mission and culture influences the direction the recruiters must march. Agency recruiters, even if specialized into an area of technical expertise, work with a variety of situations involving politics, bureaucracy, and exclusionary candidate firewalls which make it difficult to navigate without crafting a unique roadmap tailored to the business of their clients. – more –

Beyond Recruiter Excellence – Part 3: Personal Add-onsThese add-ons should not be confused with the ultra-personal, inner make-up of recruiters that crafts their beliefs, morals and basic personality. Deciding to work on those aspects is a decision to become a better person, a fact which may influence becoming a better recruiter, but does not necessarily take someone beyond recruiting excellence. A choice to go beyond excellence in recruiting will involve going the extra mile in their non-recruiting talents. – more –
