Reviewing This Week on Make HR Happen – From the Inspirational To the Practical

I’m not sure if this is a permanent trend, but this week also began with an article that is intended to be somewhat motivational on Monday and evolved into an analogy of personal characteristics in an organization on Tuesday. Another recurring topic is on diversity and this week we take a look into exclusion as well as inclusion. Finally, job search advice is given in a general sense to anyone looking to find work and then specifically to those looking for work in HR. Enjoy!

If you have never calculated your own biorhythms there are several websites that can demonstrate this theory. The fact that there are periodic cycles that affect body functions is not in dispute. Mar 19 – The Holistic Human Resources Influence on Business– In case there is an HR professional out there that has a delusion that you run things, here is your bubble bursting awakening. You don’t drive the train or blow the whistle, but if the business derails you can be sure that you will share in the blame. Unless the business of your company IS human resources, the expertise necessary to plan and execute operations to make money comes from other corporate minds.  – more –

 


Mar 20 - Diversity and Occlusion  – No, that is not a typographical or grammatical error. The word occlusion could be seen as one of the results of inclusion because occluding indicates a shutting off, obstructing or blocking something in favor of something else. Diversity indicates an organizational condition that is composed of a population of different individuals with the objective of recognizing the value of each individual.  – more –
